To Whom It May Concern:
In October 2004 I had the opportunity to use the services of the Lower East Side Construction Company. A major renovation of my apartment was completed which included knocking down walls, refinishing wood floors, painting, the installation of kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixture, closets, radiator covers, and plumbing and electrical work.
Every job was done to perfection. Joe Foti and his staff were consistently reliable, efficient, courteous and on the spot for every little thing: I could not have asked for a more positive experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering any type of renovation.
Sincerely Lenne Abam
We’d like to thank you and LES Construction for the wonderful job you and your crew did on our recent apartment renovation.
Everyone involved was very professional and caring regarding our needs and what had to be accomplished. We especially appreciated that the work was completed in a timely manner.
Sincerely,

Is there an appropriate age to move from one apartment to another?
If there is, it certainty is not for one in his mid-sixties. But I had given thought to purchasing a two-bedroom apartment and as a very desirable one came on the market I felt I had no choice but to “go for it”
In retrospect, that was the easy part. Then came such issues as obtaining a mortgage; the purchase of furniture and lighting, and last, but certainly not least, the selection of a contractor. I have seen on TV and read in newspapers some very harrowing experiences that couples have gone through with shoddy work and downright fraud. I was determined to avoid these pitfalls.
I started asking around and one name stood out. It was Joe Foti of Lower East Side Construction. Made an appointment with him and had a lengthy discussion of what I wanted done. Joe was immediately impressive; extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Within a week I received an estimate along with a detailed list of the work to be done. I should point out that contact was made with two other contractors and they too presented me with estimates. I all fairness it should be noted that Joe’s estimate was not the lowest, but I was determined to get not the least expensive but the highest quality work. In the final analysis it was the recommendations I listened to that steered me to Joe. A year has since passed. Am I satisfied with their work? Allow me to say I intend having additional work done on my apartment. The choice is much easier this time: Lower East Side Construction
